Eligibility and Categories
The international scholarship value offered to the student, however, depends on which eligibility criteria they comply with. Based on this the scholarship is divided into categories. An application is first evaluated against the eligibility criteria available and then put the applicant under a specific category. Thereafter, the applicant receives the amount of scholarship allotted for that particular category.
This scholarship includes three categories and eligibilities accordingly, as follows:-
- CATEGORY A:
Eligibility criteria:- Students of 1st,2nd & 3rd position of a National(India) level competition at the 9 Gems Skills including Sports/ Music/ Dance/ Instrumental Music/ Martial Arts/ Literary Competitions/ Drawing and STEM are eligible for this category.
Any student qualifying for a scholarship under the category is entitled to a scholarship value of 20% on Tuition fees.
- CATEGORY B:
Eligibility criteria:- Students of 1st,2nd & 3rd position of competition at the UAE level in any of the 9 Gems Skills including Sports/ Music/ Dance/ Instrumental Music/ Martial Arts/ Literary Competitions/ Drawing and STEM are eligible for this category.
Any student qualifying for a scholarship under the category is entitled to a scholarship value of 15% on Tuition fees.
- CATEGORY C:
Eligibility criteria:- Students of 1st,2nd & 3rd position of competition at the Interschool level in any of the 9 Gems Skills including Sports/ Music/ Dance/ Instrumental Music/ Martial Arts/ Literary Competitions/ Drawing and STEM are eligible for this category.
Any student qualifying for a scholarship under the category is entitled to a scholarship value of 20% on Tuition fees.
It is the wisest move for a candidate to know and understand these details and then apply to the scholarship. He/She or their parents/guardians should check the category under which they qualify and determine the scholarship amount they would get if they are selected. This helps to avoid all financial incongruencies in their journey ahead and makes planning easier.
Scholarship Disbursal Criteria (As per Category) :
Scholarship disbursal as stated above is according to the category under which the candidate qualifies. Here are a few other factors determining a candidates eligibility before the scholarship disbursal process:
- The applicants need to be residing in UAE at present with a valid Emirates ID
- They should have received National or International recognition.
- They can have achievements in the field of sport, extracurricular activities or performing arts.
- Applicants with new ideas and extraordinary leadership qualities are eligible to apply.
