Why Isn’t Upgrading An iPhone Always A Good Idea?

Apple announced the release of iPhone 11 in September 2019. This handset got an amazing response from all around the globe. People who had bought iPhone XS started wondering if they should go for the upgrade or not. It obviously seemed like a better option as it had amazing colors and a great looking body with three rear cameras that captured amazing pictures in normal light as well as low light.

The question was if the iPhone XS was still worth holding to or not? Although the iPhone 11 was best in every way, the question kept bothering a lot of people because of the high price it had. In order to give an honest review, there is not much that has been changed in iPhone 11 except the camera and some software modifications. People who cannot or do not want to spend too much money can still hold onto their old iPhone models as both iPhone XS and iPhone 11 has iOS 13.

Also, there have been some reports that there were some nooks in iPhone 11 and the software isn’t as compatible as it was expected.  that is why it suggested that one should see the reviews 1st and then upgrade a phone instead of jumping into the bandwagon and buying spending a lot of dollars.

Apple iPhone 11

iPhone 11 can be said to be affordable but not for those who have to collect the money all year to buy a phone. It starts at 729$ and goes to $1199. The LCD of the iPhone isn’t much different from the iPhone XSOLED display. it can be said that the phone is faster and has an updated camera. The camera includes night mode and an ultra-wide-angle lens for dramatic shots.

With these features, the iPhone XS still remains a capable and reliable phone and the updates or reviews from the people are not worth dropping your old model and going for a new model by spending so much money. If you want, you can stick to the old model for a good two or three years. The iPhone XS isn’t a cheap phone either, but this is all what it is to iPhone 11 and nothing more amazing about it.

iPhone XS has a ‘better’ screen:

If we compare, the iPhone 11 has a 6.1-inch screen and the iPhone XS has a 5.8-inch display. So, the latter one is smaller, thinner and lighter. The screen of iPhone XS has a sharper resolution and a higher pixel density.

The iPhone XS also has an OLED display, whereas the iPhone 11 has an LCD screen. If you are watching videos on YouTube or randomly scrolling, you won’t see any evident difference.  A CNET editor Scott Stein said: “Apple does a great job with its LCD Liquid Retina display in the iPhone 11. It doesn’t feel like a compromise except when looking at dark images with subtle light details.”

Color Options:

People who like colorful things or lie to play around with colors might get impressed with the options iPhone 11 gives to its consumers. The iPhone XS on the other hand had only three-color options, only black, white and gold. Some of these are not even available to the retailers as they have not a well-advanced inventory.

However, if people want to derive fun from the colors then it is not bad given that they are spending too much on the phone.

Camera upgrade:

The camera upgrade is certainly the most significant and only important thing about this phone. Another option available in the camera of the iPhone 11 is Deep Fusion. It helps to improve the photo quality and the details of the pictures are optimized. It works great in low light and the picture isn’t affected at all. Its front camera supports Portrait mode which lets you focus on only you and blurs the background entirely.

These are the differences of the iPhone with its previous models. So you can either stick to the previous model or buy a new one that doesn’t have many differences.
